Oba Akanbi expressed confidence that the incoming Registrar possesses the intellectual depth and administrative acumen necessary to uphold the standards of integrity and credibility that JAMB has cultivated under the stewardship of the outgoing Registrar, Professor Ishaq Oloyede. The royal father further expressed optimism that Professor Aina would not merely sustain these gains but build upon them, therefore elevating the JAMB's quality management frameworks and reinforcing its standing as a credible pillar of Nigeria's educational system.

In his statement, he said;

“I specially commend President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on the appointment of Prof. Segun Aina as the new Registrar of the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board,” the statement read.

His appointment is a reflection of Tinubu’s commitment to identifying and involving young and promising talents in his administration.

“Having read his profile and considering his family background with unquestionable records, Segun Aina will undoubtedly improve the tempo of trust and credibility built by his predecessor, Prof. Isiaq Oloyede.”
