Oloyede made the remarks during a visit to the university, where he emphasised the importance of institutional synergy in strengthening the nation’s higher education system and improving admission processes.

During the visit, Oloyede disclosed that the Institute of Part-Time Studies had successfully registered with JAMB on the Central Admissions Toolkit (CAT), a digital platform designed to streamline admission processing, candidate management, and institutional access.
He also expressed optimism that the university could secure an additional Computer-Based Test (CBT) centre within its main campus to complement the existing facility located outside the institution.
The JAMB boss further praised the university’s growing reputation, stating that it possesses the qualities required to emerge among institutions likely to receive recognition at JAMB’s forthcoming national policy meeting. He explained that such recognition is usually based on adherence to best practices, institutional spread, and the ability to attract international students.
Responding on behalf of the Vice-Chancellor, the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academics), Professor Joshua Omotosho, appreciated JAMB’s continued support for the university and acknowledged the Board’s role in advancing tertiary education in Nigeria.
Omotosho reiterated the institution’s commitment to academic excellence, describing it as a core objective of the administration led by Vice-Chancellor Professor Joshua Ogunwole. He added that the university remained determined to deepen collaboration with JAMB in order to strengthen its national and international standing.
