The registration deadline and exam starting date for the 2026 National Common Entrance Examination have been extended by the examination regulatory body known as the National Business and Technical Examination Board (NABTEB) to 31 May 2026 and 13th June 2026, respectively.
Recall that the NCEE examination starting date was earlier scheduled for the June shift. But, the extension steps in following a massive request from candidates seeking more time to complete their registration processes.
NABTEB made this announcement through an official statement that was issued in Benin by Mr. Uchechukwu Olisah, the board's Assistant Director, Media, and Protocol.

According to Olisah, the approval for the extension of the NCEE registration and exam starting date was conveyed by Dr. Aminu Mohammed (the Registrar and Chief Executive Officer of NABTEB), noting that the approval was disclosed via an internal memorandum signed by Ms. Chigoziem Metu, the Director of Examination Administration.
