School administrators and examination officials in Ebonyi State have commended the improved coordination of the 2026 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE), following the smooth conduct of the Mathematics paper across centres in Abakaliki.
At Presco High Secondary School, Abakaliki, the Principal, Mr. Peter Ujebe, attributed the orderly examination process to adequate preparation by candidates and ongoing reforms introduced by the West African Examinations Council. He also noted that students maintained discipline throughout the exercise, dismissing concerns over malpractice in the school.
Mr. Ujebe acknowledged that the institution still faces infrastructural challenges but highlighted positive developments driven by its alumni network. According to him, the school’s Old Boys Association has contributed to renovation and fencing projects, with additional support expected during its upcoming September convention.
