Dangut said that candidates are writing 37 subjects across 97 papers, with about 29,000 teachers serving as supervisors nationwide.
He highlights growing acceptance of the computer-based exam and says WAEC has strengthened its systems across technology, including question paper serialization to curb malpractice. WAEC warns against malpractice and rogue websites, saying offenders will be sanctioned.

In his words, Dr. Amos Dangut said;
"In security. We acknowledge the security challenges in some parts of the country. Conducting examinations under such conditions has been difficult but surmountable.
The council continues to partner with the Nigerian police force, all security outfits, and state governments to provide security for the smooth conduct of the examination.
We remain grateful for their collaborative efforts, especially in combating examination malpractice.
The council decisively addresses examination malpractice. Penalties will be meted out to hering candidates, supervisors, and schools as approved by the Nigerian Examinations Committee, NEC.
Awareness campaigns, seminars, and sensitization materials, that is, flyers, banners, and posters, have been deployed nationwide to educate all stakeholders. Candidates must write only the papers assigned to them. Any deviation will attract consequences." - HE SAID
