How to Access the 2026/27 WASSCE digital certificate on the WAEC digital platform

Hello, guys! In this post, we will discuss the step-by-step processes WAEC candidates can use to access their 2026/2027 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) digital certificates on the official WAEC digital platform.

So, if you have been looking to access your WAEC certificate, here is a good way out, as the WAEC digital platform gives you the leverage to get and securely share your certificates online with prospective educational institutions around the globe.

The management of the examination body, WAEC, has made available a detailed guide on how candidates can access their 2026 WASSCE certificates using the digital platform, and that's what we are bringing to your domain today.

About the WAEC Digital Certificate

The WAEC Digital Certificate Platform, which was launched in October 2022, is a digital innovation that was designed to address challenges such as lost, damaged, or burnt certificates with a seamless experience for users. This idea was launched under the leadership of Patrick Areghan, the former Head of the National Office (HNO) for Nigeria.

This platform enables candidates to confirm their certificates in real life, therefore ensuring the authenticity of the certificate.

The platform is ideal for WAEC candidates who want to recover their certificates produced from 1999 onwards, and it's accessible both on the web and via mobile devices.

Apart from generating certificates, the WAEC Digital Certificate Platform offers features that enable candidates to recover forgotten or lost examination numbers.

Nonetheless, candidates can not only generate and download their certificates but also share them with institutions and organizations securely. You can learn more about this on the WAEC official portal.

However, to make the assessment process smoother, it's pertinent to note that candidates will be required to provide any of the following materials for their identity verification;

1. National Identification Number (NIN)
2. Bank Verification Number (BVN)
3. International Passport

The provision of any of these documents will allow you to gain access to your digital certificates through a straightforward verification method.
