Overview of IJMB 

This is a short form of the word Interim Joint Matriculation Board. It is being taken as an advanced primary subject that is used as a Direct Entry Process into the second level of education in the University. 

This program spans for nine months and this nine-month is divided into two semesters. This program is a federal government program run by universities that accept IJMB.

Duration of IJMB 

This program as stated earlier spans for nine months. This nine-month is divided into two semesters. 

This includes all students who had registered for the program and have been accepted into the program. 

When is the IJMB Registration?

Registration for the 2024 session of IJMB has begun in the different centers available in Nigeria. 

Registration is made online for all candidates who have to meet the registration eligibility and have provided the required documents for registration.

The registration began on the 23rd of December.

When is the IJMB Closing Date for Registration?

The registration has been open for some time now and has been made available and accessible for all interested candidates. 

Moving onwards, candidates are to register while the portal is still open as the closing date of the program is close. 

The official closing date for the IJMB program is usually around February or March

When is the Official Resumption Date for IJMB? 

The IJMB academic session will officially begin in March 2024. This will span the 2024/2025 academic session for all candidates who have registered successfully

How Does IJMB Work?

This program allows prospective candidate to choose three courses that are most important and also related to their university field of study. 

This candidate will join lectures at the given time in their different centers for the approved number of times before they are eligible to take the final examination. 

After taking the examination, each candidate must have a required score with a minimum of 5 on their test before they are eligible for admission into any university.

Admission is given to students in the university to start in the 200L (second) of education.

What is the IJMB Cut-off Point?

IJMB accepts the official cut point to be a minimum of 5 points before any candidate will be considered for admission into any university. 

You have to note that this cut-off point is dependent on the choice of course of study. Some courses demand a minimum of seven (7) or eight (8) points or nine points.

What are the registration requirements for IJMB?

The IJMB registration is open to all candidate who have finished tier secondary school and have obtained their O-level result. 

Also, a candidate who has sat for the examination is yet to get their O Level result since it is yet to be released.

IJMB Form Fee

Cost: ₦8,500

Mode of payment: Online using Direct transfer or ATM card 

IJMB Acceptance Fee

Cost: ₦20,750

Details: To be paid within two weeks from the registration date. Paid online or offline.

IJMB school Fees

Cost: ₦110,000 - 130,000

Details: The school fees are different in centres. You have to check your centre for the actual cost. 

It can be paid in the centre or paid online. Please try to check your center before making payment. 

IJMB Hostel Fees 

Cost: ₦20,000 - 60,000

Detail: Be sure of a space before making the payment 

IJMB Textbooks Fees

Cost: ₦15,000 - 25,000

Details: they are compulsory and are to be gotten after making a complete payment 

IJMB Logistics Fees

Cost: ₦15,000 -30,000

Details: this is dependent on the candidates. it includes transportation, result collection, examination ID card, dues etc.
