JAMB NEWS UPDATE; HOW TO CHECK 2023 JAMB RESULT

The JOINT ADMISSION AND MATRICULATION BOARD (JAMB) has announced that the results of the 1,595,779 candidates who enrolled for the just concluded UTME are out, including those of the mop-up candidates. There are two methods candidates can use to access their results;

1. Check JAMB result online using registration number; candidates who participated in the 2023 JAMB UTME can check their results online using the following steps;

• Visit the official JAMB website at jamb.gov.ng
• Go to the e-Facility portal and key-in your login details
• Locate and click on the print result slip tab from the list of services
• Select a payment method and make your payment
• After successfully making payment, select your exam year and type-in your registration number in the required space
• Click on Print Result Slip to check/print your result.

This method has so many advantages, one of it being that JAMB candidates of previous years can easily access and print their results with just a little token, their registration number and the year they took the exam, without having to go through an agent.

2. Check JAMB result offline via SMS; candidates who do not have access to a working internet connection can access their JAMB result on their mobile phone. All you have to do is send the code “UTMERESULT” via SMS to 55019 or 66019. There are to major requirements for this method to work swiftly;

• The candidate must use the same phone number he/she used during the JAMB registration process
• Ensure there’s a minimum credit balance of N50 on the phone being used in other to complete the process.

This method is not just easy, it is also suitable for candidates in areas with limited network coverage. Shortly after the code has been sent, a candidate with a result will receive a message containing his/her details and result of the exam.

Candidates who use an unregistered phone number to check their result will receive a message stating; “This phone number was not used for registration”, while candidates who have their results withheld due to unlawful practices during the exam, will also receive a message stating; “Result withheld”. Candidates whose results are still being vetted will receive a message stating; “result withheld pending the upload of clarification/documents required from you”.
