The Heads of Tertiary Institutions in Nigeria had unanimously agreed that the Minimum Admissible Scores for admissions into Universities should be 150, Colleges of Nursing (150), and Polytechnics (100).

However, the Federal Ministry of Education, in consultation with relevant stakeholders, took a deliberate policy position to scrap UTME as a requirement for candidates seeking admission into the NCE programme, who possess a minimum of four (4) credit passes, and candidates who are applying for admission into non-engineering Agricultural science courses.

N/B: NCE/Agric candidates will still have to register for JAMB for proper regularization.

The meeting was attended by vice chancellors, rectors, provosts, and heads of regulatory agencies, and also deadlines for the conclusion of admissions were approved.
