The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has warned candidates who have already uploaded their O’Level results against uploading them again or obtaining a new verification code under its recently introduced result verification system.
The warning followed concerns from candidates who were unsure whether they needed to repeat the process after the Board introduced the new verification arrangement.
In a statement signed by its Acting Director of Public Affairs and Protocol, Fabian Benjamin, JAMB clarified that the directive applies to candidates who uploaded their O’Level results during the current registration exercise, including those who did so after the release of the West African Examinations Council (WAEC) results.

It also covers candidates who submitted their O’Level results in previous years using the former upload process.
JAMB stressed that candidates who have already uploaded their results do not need to repeat the process.
“All candidates who have previously uploaded their O’Level results do not need to re-upload their results or obtain a verification code again,” the Board stated.
The examination body further explained that O’Level results submitted through the previous process remain valid and will continue to be recognised on its platform.
According to JAMB, the new verification system is designed to strengthen the authentication of candidates’ O’Level results and reduce the use of fake or falsified results in the admission process.
Candidates whose results were uploaded under the old system will only be subjected to the appropriate verification by their respective institutions where such verification is required.

JAMB therefore urged affected candidates not to re-upload their results simply because they were submitted before the introduction of the new verification arrangement.
The Board advised candidates to rely on the existing uploads unless they are specifically required to take further action by JAMB or their institution.
