JAMB 2026 Update: Police bust UTME fraud ring in Delta

The Nigeria Police Force, in alliance with the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB), has made tremendous efforts in uncovering an examination malpractice syndicate during the 2026 UTME/2027 in Warri, Delta.

The breaking news was disclosed during a news conference in Abuja on Friday by the Force Public Relations Officer, DCP Anthony Placid.

The DCP said investigators acted after intelligence unveiled attempts by criminal elements to compromise the examination process through advanced technological manipulation.

Placid Said;

“The operation began after credible intelligence pointed to coordinated efforts targeting examination systems,”

The Force Public Relations Officer said offenders purportedly gained unauthorised remote access to candidates’ computer terminals while the examination was in progress.

He added;

“Digital forensic analysis helped our operatives identify the breach and trace those responsible,”

Enforcement actions were strategically launched by the police operatives, which led to the arrest of three principal suspects connected to the criminal act.
