Candidates scheduled to participate in the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) mop-up exercise can now print their notification slips, as the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) begins preparations for the final phase of this year's admission examination.
The Board announced that the mop-up examination will be held on June 13, offering another opportunity to candidates who missed the main examination due to technical disruptions or biometric verification challenges.

In a statement released by JAMB's Public Communication Advisor, Fabian Benjamin, the examination body stressed that the exercise marks the last chance for affected candidates to take part in the 2026 UTME.
“The Board wishes to emphasise that this Mop-Up Examination represents the final opportunity for eligible candidates to sit the 2026 UTME. No further examination will be conducted after this exercise.”
JAMB said candidates are expected to print their notification slips through its portal, as the document contains crucial details such as examination venue, date, time, and other instructions needed for a successful examination experience.

The Board urged candidates not to wait until the last minute before obtaining their slips, advising them to locate their centres ahead of the examination day to avoid unnecessary delays or confusion.
The mop-up examination is being conducted to accommodate candidates whose participation in the main UTME was affected by circumstances beyond their control, ensuring that qualified candidates are not excluded from the 2026 admission process.
With the exercise now serving as the concluding stage of the year's UTME, JAMB said all eligible candidates should take advantage of the opportunity and make adequate preparations before the examination date.
